Wilmington Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a shooting incident.
On November 2, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1100 block of Columbia Avenue, in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, police located a 30-year-old female gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
A responding officer located a suspect, who fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody in the area of Cedar and Anchorage Street.
The case was assigned to Detective Anthony Ford of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Ford identified the suspect who was taken into custody – 33-year-old Roderic Grady – as a suspect in the shooting incident and he was charged.
As the investigation continued, Detective Ford identified 40-year-old Sharon Grady as an additional suspect, and took her into custody without incident.
Sharon Grady has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (First Degree)
- Hindering Police Investigation
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Terroristic Threatening
She was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
