The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana...

* Until 215 PM CST.

* At 147 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Toledo Bend Dam, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Anacoco, Hornbeck, and Kurthwood.

* AFFECTED AREAS: VERNON, LA

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for west central Louisiana...and southeastern Texas.
