REMINDER:

Our 2^nd Annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting is on Sunday, December 3^rd.  The parade staging and line of march will begin at 4pm and the parade will start at 4:30pm.  The parade will begin at Company 2 Firehouse on Island Road and head down E. Ramapo, past Veterans Park and end at Company 1 Firehouse.  We have met with Police, Fire, EMS, CERT, DPW and Administration to ensure the parade route is more secure with additional road blocks/closures this year and we also have a plan to ensure the route is decorated and illuminated along the way! 
 
This year we hope to have more parade floats and more marchers than the great turnout we had last year!  We have attached a new sign-up form so we can better prepare for the event and plan for the number of floats and marchers.  We are also opening up the event to several business sponsors that would like to get involved with our event and have a table around Veterans Park.  We have invited a few Food Trucks to also join us near Veterans Park for our event for some tasty foods and treats.  Recreation will serve hot chocolate again this year!  We will be closing the entire Veterans Park area on Ramapo, Scherer Place and Miller Road for our Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting.
 
Santa will be near Company 1 for pictures on the side of the building along with a DJ for holiday music and of course the lighting of the Township Company 1 tree will make its first appearance of the season on the side lawn once the parade arrives at the firehouse and everyone has a chance to safely assemble.
 
The deadline for submitting the paperwork for your parade float, marching in the parade and/or business sponsorship is due by November 27^th.
