A Message from the Haledon Office of Emergency Management
On behalf of Mayor Michael Johnson and Haledon Emergency Management Coordinator Carlos Aymat, please be advised that, due to the cold weather, a Code Blue has been declared in Passaic County until 9am tomorrow, Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The Community Room in the Haledon Municipal Complex will be available as a Warming Center. Please seek shelter if needed and share this information with others. If any resident needs this service, please check-in with the Haledon Police Department Front Desk for accommodation.
If you are aware of any unsheltered homeless individuals in need of a warming center, please contact the Haledon Police Department at 973.790.4444. In turn, the Haledon Police Department will alert the Passaic County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at (973) 389-5951 and advise the dispatcher that there is an at-risk individual in need of shelter under the Passaic County Code Blue Alert Plan. Remember, the communit may also dial 2-1-1 for additional support.
