NAME AND CLASSIFICATION OF CHARGES (F/M/V):

1. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2ND (5 COUNTS) D-FELONY
2. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD (4 COUNTS) E-FELONY

ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Lebron was processed and released on his own recognizance with an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in Amsterdam City Court at a later date 

INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On Monday November 13th, at approximately 6:30 a.m. Amsterdam Police were notified by a resident of East Main Street that their vehicle had been vandalized sometime overnight. Uponpatrol arrival and interview an additional two vehicles were also observed to be damaged. All three vehicles had their windows and/or windshield shattered.

​While gathering information for the investigation it was revealed that in the overnight of November 12th into the 13th in addition to the three vehicles another sixbuildings had been damaged having their windows smashed. The buildings are located through the corridor of Main Street, Chuctanunda Street, Church Street, and East Main Street. At the multiple locations bricks were observed and recovered as evidence having been most likely used by the perpetrator to damage the properties. Members of the patrol division and detective bureau completed an extensive canvass for surveillance footage throughout the area which lead to the identification of a suspect now identified as, Brian C. Lebron.

​Lebron was taken into custody on November 19thwhen he was spotted in the area of Church Street by the investigating officer. Through the course of the investigation a quantity of bricks were also located in close proximity to the area that Lebron is known to frequent.

​The damage to the buildings totals over thirteen thousand dollars and the damage to the vehicles total nearly four thousand dollars.

​While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
