November 12, 2023

• Burglary (Vehicle):

2200 block of Huntington Drive. Between November 11, 2023 8 PM and November 12, 2023 9 AM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the front passenger side window to the victim’s locked vehicle, a 2003 BMW and ransacked the interior. The suspect(s) stole two laptops and miscellaneous car parts that were in plain view. The loss was approximately $1,400. No surveillance video is available.

November 14, 2023

• Grand Theft Vehicle:

1800 block of Second Street. Between November 13, 2023 3:30 PM and November 14, 2023 3 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked motorcycle, a gray 2022 Kawasaki KLR650. No surveillance video is available.
 
November 15, 2023

• Grand Theft Vehicle:

1000 Block of Las Lomas Road. On November 15, 2023 between 12:30 AM and 1 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a tan 2000 Chevy S10. No surveillance video is available.
 
 November 16, 2023

• Grand Theft:

1700 Fasana Road (Esperanza Apartments). Between July 1, 2023 12 PM and November 16, 2023 6:30 PM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s “Trek” bike and “Liv” bike that was secured in the parking garage of the location. The loss was approximately $4,000. No surveillance video is available.
 
November 17, 2023

• Burglary (Vehicle):

2600 Block of Calle Martos. Between November 16, 2023 10 PM and November 17, 2023 8:30 AM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the rear driver side window to the victim’s locked vehicle, a 2009 Land Rover HSE and ransacked the glove box. The victim was unsure what was stolen at the time of the report. No surveillance video is available.
 

• Grand Theft Vehicle:

2500 Block of Bloomdale Street. Between November 16, 2023 5 PM and November 17, 2023 4 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a tan 2006 Chevy Express G1500 van. No surveillance video is available.

TRAVELING FOR THE HOLIDAYS? BE PREPARED.

While many will choose to stay home this year, if you do travel, be sure your vehicle is in good running condition, get plenty of rest and be prepared for any emergency. Traveling by car during the holidays has the highest fatality rate of any major form of transportation based on fatalities per passenger mile.
Stay safe on the roads over the holidays — and every day:

• Get a good night’s sleep before departing and avoid drowsy driving.
• Leave early, planning ahead for heavy traffic.
• Make sure every person in the vehicle is properly buckled up, no matter how long or short the distance traveled.
• Put that cell phone away. Many distractions occur while driving, but cell phones are the main culprit.
• Practice defensive driving.
• Designate a sober driver to make it home safely after a holiday party; alcohol and drugs (prescription and illegal) can cause impairment.
