This is a message from the Matawan Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management:

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 25th, the Matawan Recreation Commission will hold its annual Turkey Trot 5K Run and Fitness Walk.  For the safety of the participants, the following roads will be closed from about 7:30 am until the conclusion of the event at approximately 11:30 am.

Main Street from Station Plaza to Route 34,
Ravine Drive from Main Street to Union Street,
Union Street from Ravine Drive to Aberdeen Road,
Aberdeen Road/High Street from Union Street to Main Street,

To accommodate this event and minimize inconvenience, anyone traveling within the affected areas, please plan your travel with these road closures in mind.  Thank you for your cooperation and have a happy and safe holiday season.
