INCIDENT: PC273A(a) Child Endangerment, HS11351 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, HS11378 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
LOCATION: 150000 block of Mohave Rd., Big River, CA
SUSPECT(S): Stephen Welsh 45-years-old and Jessica Gonzalez 37-years-old, both residents of Big River, CA.
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to the 150000 block of Mojave Rd., Big River, CA. for the service of a search warrant.
During the service of the warrant, it was discovered Jessica Gonzalez and Stephen Welsh committed child endangerment after they left dangerous drugs and paraphernalia where the minor victims could come in contact with them.
During a further search of the residence items consistent with drug sales were located on the property.
As a result of the investigation, Jessica Gonzalez was arrested for PC273A(a)-Child Endangerment. Stephen Welsh was arrested for PC273A(a)- Child Endangerment, HS11351 Possession of Narcotics for Sale and HS11378 Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sales. Both were booked in at the Colorado River Station jail, where they are being held in lieu of $60,000.00 bail.
