IMPD is asking for the public’s assistance is locating 27-year-old Tyrell Montgomery who is wanted for his alleged role in a shooting this morning. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately and not make contact with him.
IMPD officers responded to the 700 block of N Pennsylvania St on Thursday, November 23, at about 9:45 am on a report of a person shot. Officers located an adult male in the 700 block of Talbott St with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
As a result of their investigation, detectives identified Tyrell Montgomery as the suspect in this incident. Montgomery should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should not approach him and are asked to call 911 immediately. They can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 317-262-TIPS.
Montgomery is merely a suspect and should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The case will be presented to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.
