Be advised, the downtown Los Altos triangle of Main, State and portions of First Streets will shut down today, Sunday, 11/26/23 beginning at 3:00 p.m. Note: Plaza North between First Street & Third Streets shut down early at 6:00 a.m. for staging.

We caution anyone planning to drive and park in downtown Los Altos today. Be mindful of the posted "No Parking" sign times as the shut down times vary. Any vehicles parked in these areas during the times indicated on the signs after are subject to tow. If your vehicle is towed, visit the Los Altos Police Department located at 1 N. San Antonio Road to pay your tow violation fee and to get directions to the tow yard. There will be separate tow and storage fees due at the tow yard. The police department is located in the back of the Civic Center parking lot. If you have any questions, the non-emergency number is (650) 947-2770. 

The Festival of Lights Parade is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. Once the parade area is cleaned and cleared of spectators, the downtown streets will be re-opened by the Los Altos Police Department at approximately 11:00 p.m. Do not park inside the perimeter of the parade, otherwise you will have to wait until the roadways are re-opened before you can leave.

ADA Accessible Parking will be located behind Wells Fargo Bank. Enter from Edith at Fourth Street to access the lot in Plaza behind Wells Fargo. 

Ride-Sharing Dropoff is located at the turnout on Edith next to the park on the corner. Take a right off San Antonio Road and the turnout is on Edith on the right side.
