VICTIM(S): Macy’s
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 25, 2023, at approximately 7:51 P.M., deputies responded to a call for service referencing a theft in progress at Macy’s, located at 12501 S. Mainstreet in the city of Rancho Cucamonga.
During the investigation, it was determined that the suspects selected merchandise from Macy’s and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. The suspects were contacted by Macy’s Loss Prevention Officers and subsequently ran out of the store with the items. Through investigation and with the assistance of Victoria Gardens Mall Security, deputies were able to locate the two suspects and detain them.
The suspects were detained and taken back to the station. They were issued a citation for PC.459.5 - Shoplifting, and released to their parents.
