Advisory

Special Weather Statement until 11:00PM

At 604 PM EST, radar showed bands of snow showers on the increase across Barry County and now extending into western Eaton County. The snow showers were tracking east southeast at 25 mph. They will overspread Calhoun, Jackson and Ingham Counties this evening. The snow could be briefly heavy in these bands of snow. Also, the winds may gust over 20 mph leading to areas of blowing snow. While most locations will see an inch or less of snow this evening, localized amounts may reach 2 inches where the bands persist. The roads will become snow covered and slick. There will also be sudden changes to the visibility due to the falling and blowing snow. Some of the roadways that may be impacted include Interstates 69 and 94. Motorists should be prepared for sudden changes in the visibility and slick travel conditions.
