Since 3:00 a.m. this morning, anyone with an AT&T cell phone is unable to reach 9-1-1 via voice but can text 9-1-1. It appears many AT&T phones can call other subscribers but no one else at this time. This is also impacting the business lines for the Alaska State Troopers and the Soldotna Police Department on the Kenai Peninsula.
Seward Police Department's non-emergency line at (907) 224-3338 appears to still be working for all phone carriers. If you are unable to reach 911 services in an emergency, please call Seward Police Directly at (907) 224-3338.
