Four Suspects Arrested for Attempted Murder after Shooting Occurs at a Twentynine Palms Residence

Robert Gallardo Noriega, 22-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs
Mayra Lopez Garcia, 22-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs
VICTIM(S): Confidential Female Adult
SUMMARY: On Monday, November 27, 2023, Morongo Basin Station deputies responded to reports of gunshots fired in the 73000 block of El Paseo Drive in the city of Twentynine Palms. During their preliminary investigation, four suspects were identified - Antonio Gray, Nevaeh Gray, Robert Gallardo Noriega, and Mayra Lopez Garcia. The suspects traveled from Desert Hot Springs to the victim's Twentynine Palms residence to challenge the residents. An argument transpired in the driveway of the victim's residence, provoking Antonio Gray to fire several gunshots at the female victim. Fortunately, the victim was not injured as a result of being fired upon.
The suspects fled in their vehicle west on Twentynine Palms Highway (SR-62) in Joshua Tree. Soon after, deputies located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. During a search subsequent to the suspects' arrest, Morongo Basin Station deputies located and recovered a loaded handgun in the vehicle.
Antonio Gray was arrested for violation of PC 664/187(a) - Attempted Murder and PC 182(a)(1) - Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Nevaeh Gray, Robert Gallardo-Noriega, and Mayra Lopez-Garcia were arrested for PC 32 - Accessory to Attempted Murder. All suspects were booked into West Valley Detention Center. Antonio Gray is being held in lieu of $1,100,000 bail and all other suspects are being held in lieu of $600,000 bail.
