On November 27, 2023 around 6:00PM, Novato Police officers responded to initial reports of a vehicle that crashed into the 7-Eleven on Diablo Ave. Novato Fire also responded to assist with reported injuries of customers inside the store. 

Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver of a sedan was attempting to park in the handicapped stall in front of the store when they accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The vehicle collided with the front of the store and multiple customers inside were injured. Impairment is not a factor in this case. The driver of the vehicle and several customers were transported to the hospital and were treated for moderate injuries. The business will be closed until further notice due to structural damage.

We greatly appreciate the assistance provided by the Novato Fire Protection District and we are hoping for a quick recovery of everyone involved.
