Gloucester Township Police Media Release- House Fire Displaces Residents on Brookshire Road
On 11/28/2023 at 14:18 hours, police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the units block of Brookshire Road in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township for the report of smoke from the rear of an occupied row of homes. First arriving officers reported smoke and flames through the roof of the building.
Gloucester Township Fire Departments (Glendora, Chews Landing, Blenheim, Blackwood, Erial, and Lambs Terrace) along with resources from Pine Hill, Winslow Township, and Laurel Springs arrived and quickly gained control of the blaze. As a result, only two residences were damaged displacing two families who were able to stay locally with family. Representatives from the Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management as well as the American Red Cross were on location assisting residents with placement and other needs.
At this time, the fire does not appear suspicious and will remain under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshall's Office, Gloucester Township Fire District #6, and Gloucester Township Police Department
