Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM Friday

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. The heavier amounts will focus over west-facing slopes of northern and western NM.

* WHERE...Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Far Northwest Highlands, Northwest Highlands, West Central Plateau, Southwest Mountains, and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to noon MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall is likely to occur in two bursts, the first late tonight through Thursday morning then again Thursday night through Friday morning.
