On Tuesday, November 21 2023, Pomona Police patrol officers arrested 36-year-old Edmundo Salvador Guerrero for the murder of 27-year-old Brian Terraza.
At approximately 7:24 AM on November 21, 2023, patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 call within the 700 block of Hawthorne Place in the City of Pomona. Upon arrival, officers and Los Angeles County Fire personnel discovered the victim in the alley, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by officers, and fire personnel, the victim did not survive and was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assume the investigation. Investigators identified Edmundo Salvador Guerrero in connection to the murder of Terraza. Guerrero was arrested in the City of Pomona and booked at the Pomona City Jail.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed the following charges:

NARRATIVE:
On November 21, 2023 approximately 7:25 AM Patrol Officers responded to a call of a person down in the alleyway of 700 blk of Hawthorne Pl. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim down and suffering from several stab wounds. L.A. Co. Fire Personnel responded and determined that the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide Investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began an extensive investigation. The motive for the crime is not yet known.
