The holiday season in our communities is always a special time of year.  We hope that all our citizens can enjoy this time without the hindrance of criminal activity, which tends to increase during this season.  Central Marin Police Authority is committed to providing extra patrols and crime prevention strategies in our neighborhoods, local businesses, and retail locations.

Here are some tips to assist you in having a safe and enjoyable holiday season and assist us in preventing crime:

• Never leave your vehicle unlocked or valuables in plain sight.  
• Secure your residence and further protect it with security systems.  
• Be aware of your surroundings. 
• Track deliveries and packages so you can try to be home to receive them upon delivery.  Do not leave packages unattended.  
• Be careful who you provide sensitive information to in person, over the phone, or through email.  Always use verified websites and use secure payment methods.  
• Use caution at the ATM.  Protect your pin during purchases. 
• Be a good neighbor.  
• Call us any time if you see anything suspicious or to report a crime!
