SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at approximately 1:08 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a single vehicle traffic collision on Parkway Drive south of Lillyhill Drive.  Deputies learned a 2013 Jeep Wrangler occupied by five juveniles was traveling south on Parkway Drive when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled over ejecting two juvenile passengers causing serious life threatening injuries requiring immediate medical attention.  One of the juveniles was found trapped under the vehicle after being ejected. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with the San Bernardino County Fire Department and members of the A Toe Truck company, worked together to free the juvenile from the wreckage.

Two juveniles were flown to Las Vegas area trauma centers for treatment and the remaining three juveniles were treated at local area hospitals. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, and the cause remains under investigation.
