Investigation Leads to the Arrest of an Ontario Woman for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card

LOCATION: 2000 block of Grand Avenue (English Springs Park), Chino Hills and 3900 block of Grand Avenue (Target), Chino
SUSPECT(S): Elizabeth Maria Lozada-Ruiz, 43-years of age, resident of Ontario, California.
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the victim parked her vehicle and left it unattended at English Springs Park. The victim returned to her vehicle and found her side window shattered and her purse missing. At about 11:16 a.m., that same morning, an unauthorized charge was attempted on the victim's credit card at a Target store in Chino. Sheriff's Service Specialist Jasmine Hernandez obtained video surveillance footage from Target, which captured the unknown Hispanic female, later identified as Elizabeth Maria Lozada-Ruiz, and her vehicle.
Deputy Mateuz Nosek continued with the investigation. Through investigative means, Nosek confirmed Lozada-Ruiz was the female who made the attempted unauthorized charge against the victim's stolen credit card. On Friday, November 17, 2023, Ontario Police Department arrested Lozada-Ruiz for a Ramey warrant related to this investigation. Lozada-Ruiz was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
