With the increased number of home burglaries and vehicle thefts in surrounding towns and throughout the state, here are some precautions you can take to keep your home and vehicle secure:
Deter Burglars and Prevent Home Break-Ins
-Secure your doors and windows
-Upgrade your door locks
-Buy a home security system
-Keep your valuables hidden
-Install outdoor lighting and/or keep lights on at night
-Lock your garage
-Be smart about your hide-a-key
-Make it look like someone is home
Deter Vehicle Thefts
-Keep vehicle doors locked and windows closed
-Take valuables out of your vehicle
-Do not leave keys or key fobs in vehicle
-Activate your vehicle alarm
-Install safety device
-Store your keys in a safe place, out of range of your vehicle
