Yorktown Police Department Chief of Police Robert M. Noble advises the public that TODAY AT 6:30 pm, the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring the "12th Annual Holiday Electric Lights Parade and Tree Lighting." PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED START TIME!
For the safety of all participants, the following schedule will be followed:
All parade floats must access Front St. via Moseman Rd. Oversized floats will be staged at Yorktown Town Hall and must arrive no later than 6:00 pm!
Drop-off for parade participants should be done on Commerce St. in front of the Pines Bridge Monument (DMV Road Test area).
Please plan to arrive early. Expect traffic delays in the area and be cautious for pedestrians, especially during dusk. Questions regarding the parade itself should be directed to the Yorktown Parks & Recreation Office at (914) 245-4650.

For the safety of all participants, the following schedule will be followed:
- 1:00 pm: Front St. will be CLOSED from Underhill Ave. to Moseman Rd. Access to businesses on Front St. from Richard Pl. to Moseman Rd. will be permitted.
- 3:00 pm: Underhill Ave. will be CLOSED from Commerce St./Kear St. intersection to Summit St. Access to the Underhill Crossing parking lot will be permitted
- 6:00 pm: Underhill Ave. will be CLOSED from Saw Mill River Rd. (Rt. 118) to Commerce St./Kear St. PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED CLOSURE TIME!
- 6:30 pm: The following roads will be CLOSED (PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED CLOSURE TIME!):
- Commerce Street from Kear Street to Veterans Road
- Veterans Road from Commerce Street to Maple Hill Street
- Downing Drive at Commerce Street
- Hanover Street at Commerce Street
- Maple Hill St. between Yorktown Post Office and Veterans Rd.
