Emergency personnel are working to contain a wildfire off Clear Creek Rd. in the Pleasant Gardens Community. 
Emergency crews are working to contain a wildfire that is burning in the area of Clear Creek Rd. in Pleasant Gardens. NC Forest Service, US Forest Service, multiple local fire departments to include PG, Marion, Woodlawn, Old Fort, Glenwood, Dysartsville, Hankins, Sugar Hill Montford Cove, Crooked Creek and Black Mountain, Station 97, Emergency Management/Communications, McDowell Sheriff’s Office, NCSHP and NCDOT are all assisting with this incident. At this time the road is shut down at Clear Creek at Old Clear Creek
Motorists traveling in this area should use caution and be alert for drift smoke as well as emergency vehicles and personnel working in the area.
