Traffic Stop Leads To Identity Theft/Skimming Arrest

On December 1, 2023, at approximately 0640 hours, the Rohnert Park Department of Pubic Safety (RPDPS) received a tip of a suspicious person using fraudulent debit cards at a local bank in the 200 block of Rohnert Park Expressway. Responding RPDPS Officers located the suspect vehicle departing the area and initiated a Traffic Enforcement stop.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Antonio Kronidis, was in possession of 43 fraudulent debit cards and over $3,000 in US Currency. Kronidis was also identified as a suspect in over a dozen previous cases across the State of California involving fraudulent transactions.
Kronidis was arrested on One Felony Count of 484g PC – Fraudulent Use of An Access Card, One Felony Count of 530.5(a) – Identity Theft , One Felony Count of 487(a) – Grand Theft, and One Felony Count of 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy. Kronidis was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on a $250,000 bond.
