Narrative:
 
Sheriff’s Investigators are now investigating an assault incident as a homicide.  
 
On November 19th, 2023, at approximately 10:52 P.M., deputies from the Thousand Oaks Police Station responded to the 200 block of Mayfield Court in Thousand Oaks, in reference to a call of a battery.  When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered Alison Marshall suffering from significant and life-threatening injuries.  Mrs. Marshall was transported via ambulance to Los Robles Reginal Medical Center for advanced medical treatment.  Mrs. Marshalls adult son, Scott Goldberg, was arrested at the scene and at that time was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. Scott Goldberg was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and is currently in the custody of the Sheriff’s Office.
 
On December 1st, 2023, Mrs. Marshal died at the hospital as a result of her injuries.  The Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau is now investigating this incident as a homicide.  The cause of death is pending autopsy results from the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
