Columbia Water REPEAL of Temporary Service Disruption Notice for Columbia Canal, Riverfront Park and Huger St(between Laurel & Hampton St)
Columbia Water notifies the water customers along Huger St (between Laurel and Hampton Streets), located in Richland County, that the work concluded around 12:00 am on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Columbia Water finished the repair work on its 42-inch water main adjacent to the Columbia Canal Water Treatment Plant located at 300 Laurel St. Customers in the area on the map below will see water service being restored this morning. Please be aware that this affected area is still under a boil water advisory.
Columbia Water staff will be working to repeal the boil water advisory for this area as soon as possible.
Please contact the City of Columbia Customer Care Center at 545-3300 with any other inquiries concerning this notification. Residents can sign up to receive notices for their area at: https://local.nixle.com/register/.
Questions concerning healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities should be directed to the SC DHEC Division of Health Licensing at 545-4370.
All food processors and restaurants should comply with prescribed USDA and SC DHEC recommendations, respectively.
