Join us on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the Highland Park Community Center (220 South 6th Avenue) for an in-person community meeting to discuss the proposed Highland Park River Greenway project. The greenway would connect Donaldson and Johnson Parks by way of a multi-use trail along the Raritan River.
For years, the Borough has contemplated the creation of a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly greenway along the Raritan River, enhancing access to one of Highland Park’s greatest natural assets. Thanks to a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the Borough was able to contract with ETM Associates, a landscape architectural firm based in Highland Park, to conduct a feasibility study and develop a concept design for the greenway. ETM Associates will present at the community meeting to share their feasibility study findings and discuss the next steps to making this concept a reality.
