SBPD Traffic Enforcement Details Upcoming 2 Weeks; Long Term Road Closure on Henderson Road Between Rte 1 and Rte 27
Traffic Enforcement Details From December 9th through December 22nd:
In an effort to address recurring traffic safety concerns within the Township, the South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting the following directed traffic enforcement details over the next two weeks:
West Side:
December 9th to December 15th: New Road (Kendall Park): Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Weight Limit Ordinance Violations
December 16th to December 22nd: Heathcote Road: Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Weight Limit Ordinance Violations
East Side:
December 9th to December 15th: Route 522: Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Traffic Signal Violations
December 16th to December 22nd: Georges Road: Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Weight Limit Ordinance Violations
These traffic enforcement details will be conducted in addition to our Department's routine traffic enforcement efforts.
Road Closure – Henderson Road Between Route 1 and Route 27:
The Middlesex County Culvert Replacement Project has made it necessary to close Henderson Road, between Route 1 and Route 27, while a bridge is removed and replaced. The closure is a full closure - no vehicles will be able to pass through the work area. The closure will be 24 hours per day/7 days per week and is expected to last for 6 to 9 months. The posted detour will be Route 1 to Finnegans Lane to Route 27, and the reverse. Vehicles looking to reach Brunswick Acres or Saint Augustine must access Henderson Road from the Route 1 end of the closure.
