Traffic Alert for Saturday, 12/9 for Heavy Traffic on Route 54 near Randolph-Macon College 
The Ashland Police Department would like to advise the community to expect heavy traffic throughout the Ashland area Saturday, December 9th due to the semi-final football game between Randolph-Macon College and SUNY Cortland to be held at Day Field on the Randolph-Macon campus.
Traffic may be congested from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., especially on England Street (Route 54).
Game traffic will be parking in and around the college campus and in satellite parking lots north of the campus with police and campus safety personnel assisting in traffic direction to these areas.
Motorists not planning to attend the game may wish to consider Ashcake Road as an alternative.
