Deputies Investigate School Threats and Identify Suspect as a Student

LOCATION: 27400 CA-18, Lake Arrowhead, CA 92317 - Rim of the World High School
SUSPECT(S): Female Juvenile, 14-years-old, Resident of Lake Arrowhead
VICTIM(S): N/A
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Twin Peaks Station, received information that a Rim of the World High School student posted numerous threats online indicating there would be a shooting at the school.
Station detectives conducted a thorough investigation and identified the student as a 14-year-old female juvenile. The student was contacted and detained.
The investigation determined there was no immediate danger to any staff or students from the school and the threats were not deemed credible. The student was admitted to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.
