Three (3) Arrested and 25 Citations Issued at the Redwood City DUI Checkpoint 
Redwood City, Ca. – On 11/25/2023 there was one (1) person arrested for DUI, one (1) person arrested with an outstanding Felony Warrant, and one (1) Person arrested for possessions of firearm charges and possession of controlled substances at the DUI checkpoints on 11/25/2023, and 11/26/2023.
The DUI checkpoints were held at El Camino Real and Diller St from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Woodside Rd at Bay Rd from 11:00 p.m. to 01:30 a.m.
24 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, and 612 vehicles were contacted.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
