The Ojai Police Department is proud to announce our “Coffee with the Cops” event at Java & Joe.
Ojai Chief of Police Trina Newman and members of the Ojai Police Department will be joined by volunteer members of the Sheriff’s Mounted Volunteers, the Sheriff’s Upper Ojai Search and Rescue team, the Sheriff’s Chaplain volunteers and Ojai Volunteers in Policing. We invite members of the community to grab a cup of coffee and strike up a conversation. Trust is a key element in our on-going relationships with the communities we serve and what better way to build it than over a great cup of coffee. This is meant to be a relaxed and informal event to engage with our community and build relationships.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office volunteer units provide valuable resources and enhance policing efforts ranging from community outreach, traffic and special event security, missing person searches, rescue operations, natural disaster event assistance and administrative office support.
