INCIDENT: PC 211 - Armed Robbery
LOCATION: 31340 Hampton Road, Yucaipa, CA
SUSPECT(S): Kendrick Francisco, 20-year-old male from San Bernardino, CA
VICTIM(S): ARCO Gas Station
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 11, 2023, Yucaipa Station deputies were dispatched to the 7-11 Convenience Store located in 32000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard in reference to an attempted armed robbery. The suspect was armed with a firearm, walked to the front door of the business but was unable to enter because the clerk locked the door. The subject ran to a waiting vehicle and fled the location.
As deputies were conducting an area check at other local businesses, a deputy was flagged down by a concerned citizen. The citizen relayed that the ARCO gas station had just been robbed. The suspect fled the area in a dark colored sedan and eluded deputies.
Through investigative leads, deputies identified the suspect vehicle which led to the identification of Kendrick Francisco as the suspect in the robbery. Francisco had been arrested by another local law enforcment agency on an unrelated case and was in custody. Francisco was also booked for the Yucaipa armed robbery.
Detectives and deputies from the Yucaipa Station served a search warrant at Francisco's residence in San Bernardino.
