89A Oak Creek Canyon Full Closure until 4 pm on 12/8/23 
As a safety precaution, State Route 89A will remain closed in both directions tonight north of uptown Sedona, from Owenby Way Roundabout to Midgely Bridge, as crews for ADOT continue the ongoing rockfall mitigation project. Drivers should plan to detour via I-17. With clearing of rocks underway following blasting, plans call for resuming limited openings of SR 89A at approximately 4 p.m. Friday (Dec. 8).
Instructions:
Avoid 89A north of Uptown while the road is closed.
