INCIDENT: PC 246 - Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling
LOCATION: 33000 block of Colorado Street
SUSPECT(S): Peter Ibarra Gurrola, 22-year-old male from Moreno Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 17, 2023, Yucaipa Station deputies were dispatched to 33000 block of Colorado Street in Yucaipa reference multiple gunshots heard in the area. Deputies responded to the area and were contacted by the victims.
Deputies located numerous shell casings in the street and numerous bullet strikes to the residence. The victims believed the suspect was the ex-boyfriend of a visitor at the residence. Deputies recovered evidence from the scene and conducted the investigation.
Through investigative leads, deputies identified the suspect as Peter Ibarra Gurrola and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
On December 6, 2023, deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division assisted with the investigation and arrested Gurrola in Moreno Valley. Detectives and deputies from the Yucaipa Station and the Specialized Enforcement Division served a search warrant at Gurrola's residence in Moreno Valley. An AR-15 pistol and two other firearms were recovered during the search warrant service.
Gurrola was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. His bail was set at $100,000.
