South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management is monitoring an approaching storm that is expected to impact our community starting Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Sunday into Monday. In addition, wind gusts over 30 mph are expected.
 
The storm is expected to bring between 1.5-2.5"+ of rain through Sunday night into Monday morning. This may cause some local street flooding in areas of poor drainage.
 
Gusty winds are also possible which could result in downed trees and power lines, with scattered power outages.
 
WHAT TO DO -

• Make sure you secure holiday decorations that may pose a risk during storms with high winds.
• Do not put any recycling or garbage containers in the roadway for pickup. In past storms, these containers have ended up clogging storm drains and created local street flooding.

Allow extra travel time for the Monday morning commute.
