* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations of 5 to 11 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Yukon Flats and White Mountains and High Terrain South of the Yukon River.
* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Two rounds of snowfall are expected over the next 48 hours, the first overnight into midday Tuesday, and the second Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. The second round into Wednesday is expected to produce heavier amounts than then first wave.
* AFFECTED AREAS: YUKON FLATS ... WHITE MOUNTAINS AND HIGH TERRAIN SOUTH OF THE YUKON RIVER
