1. Carjacking Arrest (1700) 100 Block of West Bianchi Road, Valley Oak District
The female victim, 49, was forced into her vehicle by the suspect. The suspect struck another vehicle and fled the scene with the victim still in the car. The victim escaped to safety when the car stopped. Officers later located the suspect and took him into custody. ARRESTED: Terrell Pernell, 34, for carjacking, kidnapping, and assault with a deadly weapon.
2. Weapon Arrest (2211) Brookside Road and Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle for observed traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and was arrested without incident. ARRESTED: Andy Jimenez, 27, for weapons related charges.
3. Armed Robbery (2148) 5000 Block of Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District
The male victims, 21 and 23, were working at an area business when the armed suspects entered and demanded property. The suspects took property and fled the area. SUSPECT VEHICLE: White sedan. SUSPECTS: Four Black male adults and one Hispanic male adult.
4. Person Stabbed (0100) 2000 Block of East Fremont Street, Park District
The male victim, 70, and the known suspect were in an argument when the suspect stabbed the victim. Two citizens came to the victim’s aid and detained the suspect until officers arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: Kevin George, 38, for assault
with a deadly weapon.
