Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male Hispanic adult in Unincorporated Whittier. The incident occurred on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at approximately 12:08 A.M.
Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Orchard Avenue regarding a call of gunshots heard. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered multiple cartridge casings on the street and conducted a shooting investigation.
While canvassing the area, they located the victim on the 10200 block of Bernardino Avenue, with apparent gunshot wounds.
LA County Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information available at this time.
