Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult in the city of Compton.
On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at approximately 11:04 p.m., deputies from Compton Station responded to a gunshot victim call for service in the 600 block of West Corregidor Street.
When the deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a male Black adult suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Compton Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
This investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Tuesday, December, 12, 2023 at approximately 11:09 p.m., on the 600 block of W. Corrigedor St., in the city of Compton.
The male adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
