Detectives with the Special Enforcement Unit obtained a signed search warrant for Kevin Ramos, his residence located on the 1600 block of California Street in the City of Oxnard, and an additional residence located on the 200 block of Lupita Street in the City of Oxnard.

On December 13, 2023, detectives served the search warrant with the assistance of the Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit, Camarillo Investigations Bureau, Oxnard Police Violent Crimes Unit, and the Oxnard Police SWAT Team.

During the service of the search warrant, Kevin Ramos was taken into custody. Detectives located a loaded unregistered firearm, ammunition, and gun parts.  During the execution of the search warrant, Juan Carlos Ramos was also taken into custody for gun charges.

Juan Carlos Ramos was charged with a violation of PC 29815(a) / Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm.  Kevin Ramos was charged with a violation of PC 27545 / Unlawful Transfer of a Firearm and PC 186.22(b) / Participation in a Criminal Street Gang.  Both subjects were booked into the Ventura County Main Jail where they are being held on bail awaiting trial.
