On-Street Parking Ban Suspension continues through Dec 22nd

As many of you know the city has an On Street parking ordinance that begins Dec 1st and goes through Apr 1st. All vehicles must be off city streets from 1:00am - 6:00am.
This is primarily for snow removal purposes during the winter.
As in the past few years , I will confer with the Police Chief and DPW Director on temporarily suspending the ordinance week by week if there is no accumulating snow in the forecast.
However, the ordinance will go back into effect immediately if an accumulating snowstorm develops during that time.
Suspension currently will go from: 2023 Dec 15 – 2023 Dec 22 12:00am
Notifications will be made in 3 places for both the suspension and the law in effect. 1) On the city website at www.portjervisny.gov, 2) The Port Jervis Mayor's Facebook page, 3) Here on Nixle, and 4) Port Jervis Twitter Page @PortJervisNY
