The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Family Christmas Party dinner was held at Grace Community Church on Friday evening, December 8th. This was an evening spent recognizing accomplishments and events from the year with our families.
Sheriff Ricky T. Buchanan presented Deputy Kenneth Burleson with the Employee of the Year award during the gathering. He has been serving as a deputy for the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years and is currently assigned to the Support Division.
“Kenneth is very deserving of this award.” shares Sheriff Buchanan. “He has been a strong asset in many areas of operation at the Sheriff's Office including detention, schools, courts and patrol. He never hesitates to help others and has volunteered on many occasions to fill in when help is needed to cover shifts. I appreciate his dedicated service to McDowell County and we are honored to present him with the Employee of the Year award.”
