The Green Bay Police Department is asking the public to avoid the area of the 1200 block of Day Street due to an incident requiring a large police prescence.
Police are attempting to communicate with an individual inside of a home. The incident is believed to be confined to one specific residence.
Drivers are currently asked to find alternate routes around Day Street, which temporarily closed from St. George Street to N. Baird Street along with N. Irwin Avenue, which is temporarily closed between Harvey Street and Smith Street, and St. George Street, which is temporarily closed at Smith Street.
There may be additional closures. If drivers see a barricade, please find an alternate route.
