INCIDENT: Subject Arrested for Possessing Three Pounds of Methamphetamine for Sale
LOCATION: 45800 block of South Drive, Big Bear City
SUSPECT(S): Clifford Woolsey, 62-year-old resident of Big Bear City
VICTIM(S): People of the State of California
SUMMARY: On December 7, 2023, deputies assigned to the Big Bear Sheriff's Station obtained information about a person who possessed and sold methamphetamine from a motorhome located in the 45800 block of South Drive, Big Bear City.
Deputies identified the person as Clifford Woolsey, 62-year-old resident of Big Bear City. Additionally, Woolsey was a registered sex offender.
Deputies authored a search warrant of Woolsey's motorhome and served the warrant shortly after it was approved. Deputies located approximate three pounds of suspected methamphetamine, items indicative of drug sales, and a large amount of currency.
Woolsey was arrested for Health and Safety Code 11378 (Possession of Controlled Substances for Sales). Woolsey was booked into custody at the Central Detention Center and is being held in custody with $80,000 bail. Woolsey next court hearing is scheduled for December 18, 2023 in the San Bernardino County Superior Court.
