INCIDENT: Arrest made for Grand Theft and Organized Retail Theft
LOCATION: 700 Block of La Mesa Street, Pomona, CA
SUSPECT(S): Lizbeth Garcia, 29-year-old Resident of Pomona
Jose Garcia, 28-year-old Resident of Pomona
Sarah Cervantes, 29-year-old Resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): Victoria's Secret, Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Burlington.
SUMMARY: On Sunday, November 26, 2023, Lizbeth Garcia, Sarah Cervantes, and Jose Garcia entered the Victoria's Secret located at the Shoppes in Chino Hills. They placed over $1800.00 in merchandise into shopping bags and exited the store without paying for the items.
Detectives and deputies identified the three suspects and learned Jose Garcia was on probation for burglary.
On December 6, 2023, during a probation search of Garcia's residence, investigators located Lizbeth and arrested her.
Detectives also located stolen property from Victoria's Secret along with approximently $5000.00 worth of suspected stolen merchandise from Ross, Marshalls, TJMaxx, and Burlington. The security tags were still attached to the merchandise. Lizbeth Garcia, Sarah Cervantes, and Jose Garcia committed thefts from the mentioned retail locations in the cities of Fontana, Glendora, Upland and Chino. The three suspects were later booked at the West Valley Detention Center for grand theft and organized retail theft.
