*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Responding to a Shooting Death Investigation, 200 block of East El Segundo Boulevard, #LosAngeles
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles.
Deputies from Century Sheriff’s Station responded to the 200 block of El Segundo Boulevard in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles regarding a gunshot victim call for service.
The incident occurred on Friday, December 15, 2023, at approximately 2:22 PM.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim, a Black male, 32 years of age, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
Four other Black male adults between 40-50 years of age, who were standing outside the location near the deceased, were also struck by gunfire during the incident.
They were all transported to local hospitals. Three of the four surviving victims are listed as stable condition and the fourth victim is listed as critical but stable.
The suspect, who was described as a male adult, walked up to the location and began shooting at the victims. He was last seen running southbound on San Pedro Street and out of view.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no additional information available.
