Good morning,
The Fairfield Office of Emergency Management is monitoring the Passaic River levels due to the predicted rainfall we are expecting today into tomorrow.
At this time, the National Weather Service is predicting several inches of rain as well as high winds starting this evening and through Monday's morning commute. Currently, the river is expected to reach 19'7" by 8am, Tuesday morning.
Data we have gathered from previous river levels has provided us with information that some street flooding may occur, specifically on these roadways:
- Camp Lane
- Clinton Road
- Ray Place
- Industrial Road
- Dwight Place
- Matt Drive
- Montesano Road
- Poplar Place
We are monitoring the forecast should any of these predictions change. Updates will be provided as necessary.
Thank you.
