Weather Advisory - HEAVY RAIN & WIND THIS EVENING INTO MONDAY 
Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management is closely monitoring a storm system which will arrive in our area later this afternoon and is expected to intensify in the evening and continue into Monday.
This storm is expected to bring 2” to 4”+ of heavy rain and gusty winds which could reach up to 40 mph. Poor travel conditions, downed power lines, downed trees and flooding could be a result of this storm system. Please avoid any unnecessary travel and allow extra travel time for your Monday morning commute. Report all power outages directly to JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS
Safety Tips:
- Always assume that all downed power lines are live!
- If you come across a flooded roadway, please don't drive through it. Turn around and report it to the police department.
- Secure all outdoor furniture, garbage cans & lawn decorations by tying them down or bring them inside.
